2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV

Electric vehicles are the present and the future. The market has been clamoring for high-performance and affordable all-electric crossover SUVs, and now it's almost here. In the fall of 2023, Chevy plans to release the Chevrolet Equinox EV, the upscale electric version of its gas counterpart.

The 2024 Chevrolet Equinox will come in LT and RS trim levels, with a starting price of $30,000. With a competitive price, this car is accessible to many families. Not to mention, Chevrolet also plans to roll out an electric pickup truck to the lineup, the Silverado EV.

Performance

Unlike most EVs on the market, this 2024 model features an expected driving range of close to 300 miles per charge. With a wide driving range, drivers can spend less time worrying about finding the nearest charging station. That's because Chevy will adopt GM's ultium platform to give the battery power it needs for high-performance.

The 2024 Equinox EV is expected to have more horsepower than the Bolt EUV. This unique EV is powered by a lithium-ion battery and magnet electric motor that puts out 360 horsepower and 432 lb-ft of torque. With Chevy's advanced DC fast charging, it can potentially charge up to 100 miles of range in only 30 minutes. Not to mention, Chevy has a network of over 40,000 public charging stations, so drivers can easily find a station near them.

Exterior and Interior

This 2024 EV edition features a bold and sporty design with a thin upper light strip up front and two lights underneath. Also, flared fenders in the front and wide haunches at the rear provide an athletic stance that looks more futuristic than the typical crossover SUV.

Inside the Equinox EV, it'll share similar technology and design to the Silverado EV. From the photos released, the EV will have a sleek 17.0-inch center infotainment touchscreen along with an 11.0-inch digital instrument cluster.

Safety

Chevy always prioritizes safety. That's why the Equinox will have all the standard safety features available like the:

  • Forward collision alert
  • Safety alert seat
  • Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert
  • Lane keep assist system
  • Driver attention alert
  • Hill-start assist
  • Vehicle dynamic control
